The primary function of the USCB Library is to serve the needs of USCB students, faculty, and staff. Community patrons and the general public are welcome to visit both locations and use the library’s resources on-site, though with limited borrowing privileges.

The Beaufort Campus Library and the Bluffton Campus Library house a variety of collections, including online journals and databases, digital collections, government documents, and local history collections.

Mission Statement

The mission of the USC Beaufort Library is to support the educational goals of the campus as expressed in its programs and curriculum. The library accomplishes its mission in the following ways: 1) by building and maintaining comprehensive collections of resources that support and extend the academic offerings of the curriculum and that are openly available to USCB’s students, faculty, staff and residents across the USCB service area;  2) by teaching library patrons how best to locate, retrieve, and evaluate the information they seek; and 3) by utilizing the most advanced technologies to provide additional access to recorded information housed in libraries and other facilities around the globe.
